Rents are figured at 30% of your adjusted monthly income.
Incomes include: Gross Social Security, SSI, Pensions, Annuities, Income from Assets, Rental Income, VA Pensions, Wages, Worker’s Compensation, Disability, etc.
Assets consist of: Interest or Dividends earned from a Checking or Savings Account, CD’s, Stocks & Bonds, Credit Union Accounts and Real Estate (home, property, etc.).
Medical Expenses are calculated as a credit when figuring your rent. Eligible expenses are: Health Insurance Premiums, any outstanding medical bills that you are currently making payments on and f pocket prescription costs or doctor bills that are not reimbursed by insurance or any other agency.
Although utilities are not included with rent, we do award a utility allowance, which is credited when rent is figured.
